When the camera detects the movement, the dened

actions will be activated to notify related person to look

over the monitoring area.

• Recording

When an event is triggered, the VioStor NVR starts

recording one or more channels at the same time.

• Buzzer

The buzzer in the VioStor NVR will sound when an

event occurs.

• User-dened Action

The VioStor NVR supports user-dened actions. You

can enter the HTTP URL from other surveillance

systems. When an alert occurs, the NVR will activate

other systems, such as extinguishing system,

electronic control system, air-conditioning control

system.

• Camera Control

When an event occurs, the PTZ camera will be

adjusted to the specied preset position for monitoring

and recording. Also, you can use HTTP URL to

activate further action.

When the VioStor NVR fails to record due to hard drive

failure or system crash, the dened actions will be

triggered to notify related person to examine the VioStor

page. You can click the icon to view the alert details.

When enabled, the VioStor NVR turns on automatically

when the power recovers after an outage.

The VioStor NVR supports both APC and MGE UPS

The storage capacity of a RAID conguration can be

expanded by replacing the hard drives with larger ones.

Online RAID Level Migration*

You can upgrade the disk conguration to higher

RAID level with the data retained. There is no need to

turn off the server during the process.

VS-2012/ 2008 Pro and NVR-104P/ V offer RAID 0, 1, single, and

JBOD disk congurations. The RAID function of NVR-104 is

enabled via an external eSATA device.

NVR-104P/ V do not support this feature.

NVR-104P/ V support one Gigabit RJ-45 Ethernet port only.

More actions can be activated when an event is triggered, such as multi-

channel recording, adjusting the PTZ camera to the preset position,

alarm output, built-in buzzer, email & SMS alert, and user-dened action.

VS-8040U-RP/ 8032U-RP/ 8024U-RP do not support this feature.

When a moving object is detected by IP camera 1, the VioStor NVR

triggers the alarm sensor connected to IP camera 1, adjusts the

monitoring angle of IP camera 2 to the specied preset position,

enables alarm recording on both cameras, and delivers email and SMS

alert instantly to the administrator.

NAP VioStor NVR is equipped with enterprise-level alarm-triggering

mechanism and supports various alerts and abnormal event. This

feature greatly strengthens the security, management effciency, and

compatibility of the VioStor NVR systems.
